The young adult is usually confronted with the need at the worst possible moment, when it becomes an personal crisis - Who am I? and What is my life really about? Who are my friends? Who can I count on? Why can't I count on myself? Materialism creates a good deal of unseen mayhem (unseen, that is, until it's almost too late).
